President

Ann V. Corbett
Senior Account Manager
Ann V. Corbett is responsible for managing client accounts and creating public relations, media relations and social media marketing campaigns. She is a seasoned professional who has produced successful outcomes for individuals, businesses and nonprofit groups seeking to enhance their image and grow their organization.
Ann has a strong background in government and community relations. She is the first woman elected to serve as mayor of the Incorporated Village of Floral Park after serving as an elected trustee for 12 years. Having managed a full service village, she is a proven leader, problem solver and crisis manager. She was active in the Nassau County Village Officials Association.
Ann’s professional career as a Public Health Nurse, Home Care Agency R.N., and Geriatric Management R.N. have afforded her health related experience and knowledge that few in the PR field can offer. She served on the New York Senate Health and Hospitals Advisory Committee.
As Mayor Ann hosted the cable television program The Mayor’s Message produced Four Village TV Studio. She wrote a weekly newspaper column, oversaw the publication of a quarterly newsletter and expanded the Village Website. She conducted public hearings and budget meetings and created the Citizens with Disabilities Committee and a Senior Citizen Ombudsman position. Ann served on the Architectural Review and Site Plan Development Board and the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Ann headed the Floral Park Substance Abuse Council for over ten years. Under her leadership a Red Ribbon Community Project won recognition by President George H.W. Bush, the United Nations and the World Award from the International Public Relations Association.
Ann has been interviewed by News 12 Long Island, Hofstra radio and cable television programs such as “Career Fair for Women” Currently as president of a historical society she is the editor of a seasonal newsletter “The Docent’s Digest” and is responsible for online postings.
Ann has received the many prestigious awards for women leaders in the region. Her involvement in charitable, service, civic, educational, professional, business and parent/youth groups continues to be recognized by government, community and nonprofit organizations.
Ann is a graduate of Niagara University and The New Seminary.
William J. Corbett, Sr.
Founder – Chairman
William J. Corbett, Sr., prior to establishing Corbett Public Relations, Inc., was the Vice President of Communications for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) where his responsibilities included running a TV production studio and media training program for leaders in the accounting profession.
Bill is a Public Relations Society of America Fellow. He served as president of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) and the Public Relations Society: New York. He was a member of the National Commission on Public Relations Education and an Adjunct Professor at Iona College Graduate School of Mass Communications.
Public Relations News selected him as one of 40 Leaders Worldwide in Public Relations. A Public Relations Quarterly article cited him among PR Superstars: 100 of the Brightest.
He served on the Communications Advisory Committee of the United States Information Agency and as an advisor to the United Nations Communications Division.
Bill, a former United States Air Force Information Officer and recipient of the U.S. Air Force Commendation Medal and Cold War Service Certificate, was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the United States Department of Defense Information School. His military service took him to 19 countries and Antarctica on Operation Deepfreeze.
Bill was an advisor to the New York State Joint Legislative Committee on Consumer Protection. He worked in the New York State Senate and was a liaison member for the New York State Assembly to the Board of Directors of the Municipal Assistance Corporation of the City of New York (Big MAC). He was a Fellow of the Corporate Forum of New York and a member of the Government and Regulatory Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Commerce of the United States of America,
He served on the National Advisory Council of the Center for the Study of the Presidency. Bill attended White House Conferences on Libraries and Information Services, Small Business and the Aging (2015).
Before serving as a Nassau County Assistant District Attorney, he was a legal aid criminal trial lawyer. He served as Prosecuting Attorney and Acting Justice of the Incorporated Village of Floral Park.
Bill chaired the American Bar Association Ordinance and Administrative Regulation Committee and served on the New York Bar Association Public Relations Committee.
He chaired the Communications Committee for the Direct Selling Association and served on the Public Affairs Council Board and Communications Committee of the Cosmetic Toiletry & Fragrance Association. He was active in the American Society of Association Executives and the New York Society of Association Executives.
Bill is the recipient of numerous recognitions of his contributions to the communications field and for his outstanding community service.
Bill is a graduate of Hobart College and Fordham University School of Law.
Geoff Walter
Account Executive
Geoff Walter is an Account Executive with Corbett Public Relations involved in the day-to-day public relations activities, media relations, social media and special event management and other services provided in support of the firm’s clients.
Geoff promotes clients’ news stories and features to broadcast, print and online media outlets including Newsday, The New York Times, The Long Island Business News, News 12, FiOS1 News, Crain’s New York Business, and The Wall Street Journal as well as many professional journal and business trade magazines. He proactively monitors the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires and blogs for opportunities for clients. He creates press kits, media alerts and newsletters, distributes press releases, picture captions and public service announcements and pitches stories to targeted media.
In addition to planning, organizing, implementing and publicizing special events for the firm and its clients, Geoff also creates strategies for special event promotion and coordinates event logistics.
He researches and writes blogs relevant to the firm and to its clients’ industries and services. Daily he builds the online presence of the firm and its clients in support of their professional, entrepreneurial and/or business goals. He manages, monitors, updates and creates content for client social media sites including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, YouTube, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
Geoff provides photography videography support for the firm and creates, manages, edits, posts and shares videos content and photos about the firm and its clients’ on social networks. In addition to mentoring and managing interns, he also teaches them to use marketing software, applications and implement proprietary marketing and PR strategies.
Prior to joining the firm, Geoff was an editor and reporter at AOL Patch, launching the Mineola site in 2010 and running the New Hyde Park portal for two years, overseeing a staff of freelancers and covering diverse topics ranging from community affairs to local and county governments to schools and sports. He also launched the company’s first internship program, partnering with Hofstra University School of Journalism on the Mineola site and with Adelphi University for New Hyde Park. His reporting has appeared in local newspapers such as the Mineola American, Manhasset Press, Garden City News, pre-2010 editions of the New Hyde Park Herald-Courier and Williston Times as well as the New York Daily News and Sportsnet New York (SNY).
He has won several awards from the Long Island Press Club in the categories of Breaking News, Sports Narrative and Sports Photography.
Geoff is a graduate of Chaminade High School and Fordham University.
Jennifer Vaglica
Executive and Office Administrator
Mrs. Jennifer Vaglica joined Corbett Public Relations in 2004 and serves as the Executive and Office Administrator. She manages office operations and assists the president of the firm on a daily basis.
Jennifer is active in planning, designing, organizing and distributing information about special events for the firm and its clients. She utilizes social media in support of client businesses, events and special seminars and programs. She creates spreadsheets for tracking projects and rosters with necessary contact information. She monitors and updates content for client social media sites including Websites, Facebook and more.
Jennifer interacts with clients, consultants, IT, utility and other vendors. She maintains staff and executive calendars and schedules, books venues for meetings and events, creates lists, and keeps client/firm service files and extensive photo and video libraries.
She manages the distribution of press releases, photos, stories and articles to print, broadcast and online media outlets. She publishes newsletters and announcements to associates, clients and key target audiences. She conducts research necessary to create and maintain media databases to enable local, regional and national distribution of client news and information.
She is responsible for client invoices, billing and maintaining financial records.
Jennifer acts as liaison with the firm’s graphic artist, videographers, photographers and marketing consultants to create e-mail blasts, newsletters, e-newsletter, brochures, logos, signs, flyers, press kits and marketing materials for the firm and its clients.
She guides and supports the interns who participate in the firm’s year-round internship program.
Jennifer is proficient in the Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Excel and QuickBooks and has experience processing online registration through Eventbrite.
Anthony Castoro
Graphic Artist
Anthony Castoro, founder of AstorGraphics, Inc., is a veteran graphic designer with over 20 years of experience. He has a proven ability to create compelling visual concepts and manage projects from inception to delivery in a timely manner.
Anthony has a keen understanding of the needs and goals of clients who are representative of the business, government and nonprofit sectors. He works in harmony with clients in developing effective branding, marketing and promotional materials, including logos, flyers, brochures, posters, advertisements, social media content and more.
AstorGraphics acts as the graphic design department for Corbett Public Relations.
Anthony has created the layouts for hundreds newsletters for clients including RE/MAX of New York, Inc.; Town of Hempstead Department of Industrial Development; Commercial Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island (CIBS-LI), Cruizin’ For A Cure Car Show; Nassau County Police Activity League (NCPAL); Long Island Fight for Charity and The Marty Lyons Foundation. He has been responsible for hundreds of marketing e-mails in support of client programs, events and special projects. He effectively utilizes Constant Contact and Eventbrite for distribution via the internet.
He was responsible for the layout of Long Island Business News (LIBN) 48- page insert, featuring ads and articles supporting the Long Island Fight for Charity’s primary fund raising event held every November. He has also designed ads for clients that have appeared in a variety of publications.
He has also been responsible for the layout and distribution of countless marketing e-mails in support of client activities from grand openings; conferences; press conferences; fund raisers and events such as a giant balloon festival; family-fun fairs, car shows, sporting events, galas, trade shows and golf outings as well as internal communications for several clients.
Anthony’s social networking skills have been invaluable in reaching client target audiences, successfully generating interest in their products, professional services and charitable activities. He is an expert designing for social media sties including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
Anthony grew up on Long Island and is a graduate of California State University, studying under George McGuinness a nationally respected artist and graphic designer.
